The Guild Store

THE GUILD STORE
The Guild Store is a fun place to shop for bargains and hooking-related stuff. We hope to
have lots to sell this year and are relying on members to donate their overflow. You could do
some Spring cleaning in April and donate to the Guild! We’ve been having “extreme sales”
the past few years so our storage is pretty much empty of donated stuff. What are we looking
for? Hooks, frames, books, dyes, small amounts of noodles and worms, hooked pieces,
patterns either new or unfinished, small amounts of wool. (Remember, our vendors need to
make a living!). Et cetera!

Consignment Sales  We are also happy to take items on consignment and the Guild only asks a small 20%.
Please fill out  a Consignment Form (click here)  This will need to  be filled out before items are
accepted for sale. Each item must be labeled with your initials and the item number as listed
on the form. You may want to make a copy for yourself.
Please let us know if you plan to offer something noteworthy so we can advertise it!
Items for sale or consignment can be dropped off at the Guild Store between 10 and 3 on
Wednesday, Hang Day. Items can also be dropped off anytime during Show week 9:45-4:30 at
the Guild Store. Consignment items must be picked up at close of Show on Sunday.

Donated items may be reclaimed. The Guild reserves the right to keep or dispose of abandoned items.

Dropping Off of Items

Best time to drop off is ~10am Wed. May 14 or any day while the show is going.
If you need to drop off your items with your rug you can, but they will need to moved twice

so if you can wait until wed, that is best and easier on everyone.

Donated 8 x8 Matts Visitors to the Show frequently say they wish they could buy a hooked piece.

So this year we’ll also be selling small hooked pieces (~ 8”x8”) donated by Board Members and others to
help underwrite the cost of the show and defray the cost of our new, very portable walls. All
pieces will be priced at $50. If you’d like to make one or already have one about that size, it
can be given to any Board Member, or bring it on Rug Drop Off Day, or to the Guild Store on
Wednesday, Hang Day. There is no theme or other restriction. Hook what you love. About 8×8
inches.

We are in need of VOLUNTEERS to staff the Store.

There will always be at least two people
staffing so if this is all new to you, do not fear! It’s a fun time. And you’ll get to see everything
as it comes in . . .

What would you do as a Volunteer? 
* Inventory: Catalogue items on Consignment Forms as they come in. (Items come in all
week as members come to the show.)* Marketing: Help to set up and display items as they come in.
* Sales: Sell items using cash or “Square app.” (It’s really easy!).
* “Reverse” Inventory: Check out unsold items and return to consignors on Sunday
afternoon.
* Close up shop: Make sure everything is packed up, cleaned up and otherwise disposed
of.

Volunteer Schedule
* Morning and afternoon shifts are available, Thursday through Sunday.
* Morning shift is typically 9:45-1:30
* Afternoon shift is typically 1:30-5:00
* Adjustments can be made, of course!
* There will always be at least two people scheduled for each time slot.
