Rug Drop Off and Pick Up

Rug Drop Off is Saturday, May 10 from 10 to 1:00 at

The Schoolhouse at The Sugarbush Resort.

Registered First and Second rugs along with Award winning rugs will be accepted. A couple of reminders for folks who are old hands at rug drop off  and pick up and info for those doing it for the 1st time.

General reminder: PLEASE attach a label to the back of your rug.  At a minimum, the label includes your name and rug title.

RUG CHECK-IN

  1. When dropping off your rugs, you’ll be given 2 tags. Each has your name, the name of your rug and a registration number written on it.   Pin the hang tag (the one with a string and safety pin) to the middle of the top edge on the backside of your rug.  Pinning it to THE MIDDLE  OF THE TOP EDGE  ON THE BACKSIDE tells the hanging crew the direction it should be hung.  Attach the pin a couple inches below the top edge as the tag will remain in place, behind the rug, throughout the show.
  2. Keep the other tag – probably colored paper, no string – in a safe place. Bring it with you when you collect your rug at the end of the show.  It’s your ticket out of the building…with your rug.  No rugs will be taken down before the end of the show.
  3. If you brought your rug wrapped in a towel, blanket or a special carrying tote, take it home with you.  There is no place to store or keep track of these items.
  4. Feel free to volunteer for an hour or so!

RUG CHECKOUT:  In  an orderly fashion, find your rug, remove the pin/s holding it in place on the wall.  Stick the pins back in the wall.  However you carry your rug out, make sure the hanging tag is visible.  It will be compared to the 2nd tag you were asked to keep in a safe place by volunteers stationed at each of the exits. If someone other than you is picking up your rug, make sure they have the tag(s) that was provided at rug drop off.
