GUILD SUMMER HOOK-IN, DEMONSTRATION, and TAG SALE
The GUILD SUMMER HOOK-IN, DEMONSTRATION, and TAG SALE will be held at the CHAFFEE ART CENTER in Rutland this year. Open to members and non-members!
SATURDAY, JUNE 28. 9 AM to 3 PM.
You’ll still be full of inspiration from the Hooked in the Mountains Show because we’re holding it earlier in the summer than usual. As a wonderful bonus for us, the Chaffee Art Center will be having a Fiber Arts Show during June and July and we’ve timed our hook-in to coincide with their exhibit. Come see the hooked art of some Guild Members.
Chaffee is a lovely old Victorian house (mansion, almost) with plenty of indoor space as well as nice outdoor space with tables.
Another bonus: the Center will be open to the public while we are there hooking. What a lovely opportunity to introduce people to our art! If you’d like, come prepared to demonstrate and even teach a little. Contact Belinda (Belinda.ww@gmail.com) if you’re really interested and we’ll make it more organized and official.
LUNCH. For Lunch, either bring your own or try out a place nearby. There are more than 20 restaurants in town.
If you’re coming from a distance, there are places to stay overnight, as well as other interesting stuff to see and do in Rutland.
There is a cost to us for using the Center (but we can use the whole building and grounds !). Thus we need to charge participants $10.

There should be space enough if you want to bring fiber-related stuff to tag sale or trade. You might want to throw a chair in your car in case it’s a lovely day, as there wouldn’t be enough outdoor chairs for everyone.
