Help Get the word out about our show in November

It will be great if ALL of our members each do their little part in getting the word out about the show.’

I’ve created a bunch of pages and forms where you can submit ideas for publicity — and pledge to take a small action to help.

Publicity Brainstorming

For now, feel free to share any of the following info:

  • Hooked in the Mountains XX, the 20th show of the Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild, will take place at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont, November 3-6, 2022. An Opening Reception will be held Wednesday, November 2 from 5-8:00 pm.
  • ~300 pieces will be on display, including juror’s choices and visitors’ choices  from our 2018 show, and jurors’ choices of our 2020 Virtual Show.
  • Two featured artists, Sandra Grant and Grace Collette,  will each have a selection of their work on display.
  • There will be a Rug School,  Wed. – Sat., with a mix of 1 and 2-day workshops.  Teachers are:  Diane Burgess, Judith Hotchkiss, Deana David, Davey Degraff, Rose Raymond, and Ania Knap.  More info:
  • Eight vendors will be on hand with supplies and tools for rug hooking and punching.
  • A Hook-in room and a Guild Sales room between the Vendors and the Classrooms will give the public a chance to see how this work is done, and maybe pick up tools at a good price, through our members’ consignment sale. We’ll  have a station set up where you can try it out yourself.
  • Workshop Registration and advance sales of tickets for the Reception and the Show will open up online at   June 2nd.
  • You can also check out more than 100 pieces in our 2020 Virtual Show:

Want or need to post an image to go with a social media posting or web calendar posting?  Feel free to use one of the images below.   (Click on image to access the original high resolution image especially for print publications.)

Here are the eight business cards we’re having printed — we’ll have them at our May Hook-in.  For now, think about where in your community they should be made available.  These cards are intentionally eyecatching, but not full of info specific to the show in November.  If we have some left over — we can still use them after the show — and they’ll make terrific magnets!

The images are details from the six jurors’ choices in the 2020 Virtual Show plus one from each Featured Artist 2020 and 2022.
