In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, April and May 2021 events have been edited to include only virtual gatherings. You should probably assume that in-person gatherings listed for after June 2021 may NOT be happening, but it may be worth a call or email, as weather may permit outdoor gatherings.
We hope to be able to display more VIRTUAL events and hook-ins for these COVID times. If you have a group with at least one GMRHG member, that would welcome other guild members as visitors to your local ZOOM gatherings, please let us know! email@example.com
The Guild Board has scheduled a few virtual workshops for late fall/winter 2021-22. See Guild Events page.

Wouldn’t it be fun to spend two days with new and old friends doing what we love-rug hooking!
Since we will not be having a show this year we are planning a two-day hook-in at the Sunset Ballroom atop the Comfort Suites in South Burlington. Rooms are set aside for the event (see below). We have some great vendors lined up for this event! We will have a speaker each day, more info on this in the near future.
While at the hook-in you will have the opportunity to travel down the road about 4 miles, to the Shelburne Museum to view the ‘Hooked on Patty Yoder’ exhibit. Patty was a very active member of our guild who shared her skill and knowledge freely.
The following quote is from the Museum’s website-
“Bringing together the artist’s first and last works alongside preparatory sketches and other ephemera, Hooked on Patty Yoder surveys the 13th-year career of American rug hooker Patty Yoder (1943-2005). Best known for her beguiling Alphabet of Sheep (2003), Yoder conceived of her designs as “paintings with wool to be hung and enjoyed as art.” Exacting attention to color, composition, and technique, paired with Patty’s penchant for high visual standards and whimsical designs, truly sets her work as a new standard within the field of American textile arts.” The exhibit will be at the Pizzagalli Art and Education at the Shelburne Museum.
