SUMMARY:Summer Hook-in and Wool Sale at Camp Meade
DESCRIPTION:Join us again for a summer gathering.  Note:  Start time adjusted to match what was in newsletter:  9:00 am\, if you can make it! \nBring stuff from your stash you’d like to sell\, and maybe you won’t have to take it back home! \nThis is an outdoor gathering\, so bring your lawn chair and your hooking – and maybe sunscreen! \nLast year we could set up under a large pavillion\, which was good because it drizzled a bit at the end. \n  \nRed Hen Bakery and Ice Cream are right there  (good options if you don’t remember to bring your lunch!) \n

SUMMARY:GUILD SUMMER HOOK-IN\, DEMONSTRATION\, and TAG SALE
DESCRIPTION:The GUILD SUMMER HOOK-IN\, DEMONSTRATION\, and TAG SALE will be held at the CHAFFEE ART CENTER in Rutland this year. Open to members and non-members! \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 28. 9 AM to 3 PM. \nYou’ll still be full of inspiration from the Hooked in the Mountains Show because we’re holding it earlier in the summer than usual. As a wonderful bonus for us\, the Chaffee Art Center will be having a Fiber Arts Show during June and July and we’ve timed our hook-in to coincide with their exhibit. Come see the hooked art of some Guild Members.  \nChaffee is a lovely old Victorian house (mansion\, almost) with plenty of indoor space as well as nice outdoor space with tables. \nAnother bonus: the Center will be open to the public while we are there hooking. What a lovely opportunity to introduce people to our art! If you’d like\, come prepared to demonstrate and even teach a little. Contact Belinda (Belinda.ww@gmail.com) if you’re really interested and we’ll make it more organized and official. \nLUNCH. For Lunch\, either bring your own or try out a place nearby. There are more than 20 restaurants in town. \nIf you’re coming from a distance\, there are places to stay overnight\, as well as other interesting stuff to see and do in Rutland. \nThere is a cost to us for using the Center (but we can use the whole building and grounds !). Thus we need to charge participants $10. \nThe Chaffee Art Center is located at 16 South Main Street\, Rutland\, VT 05701.\n802-775- 0356 \nhttps://www.chaffeeartcenter.org/ \nThere should be space enough if you want to bring fiber-related stuff to tag sale or trade. You might want to throw a chair in your car in case it’s a lovely day\, as there wouldn’t be enough outdoor chairs for everyone. \nGUILD SUMMER HOOK-IN and TAG SALE \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 28. \n9 AM to 3 PM. \nCHAFFEE ART CENTER\n16 South Main Street\, Rutland\, VT 05701.\n802-775- 0356 \nCOST: $10 (includes admission to the Fiber Arts exhibit) \nOpen to members and non-members \nLUNCH is on your own \nNo Cash or checks at the door.  Pay on line only. \nSpace is limited so register today! \nRegister at https://gmrhg.wildapricot.org.
