Featured artist Anne Cox will speak about her art in her gallery space on 10/17 from 10 – 11 AM and again on Sun, 10/21 10-11 AM
Featured artist Kris McDermet will speak about her art on Thurs 10/18, 10- 11 AM and again on Sat 10/20 at 1 -2 PM in her gallery space. She will also lead a Braided Rug Gallery Walk om Thursday 10/18 from 4-5:00 PM.
Stephanie Allen-Krause will speak about Some Popular Ways of Finishing Rugs.
Kathleen Herbert, collector of antique rugs and rug hooker herself, will show and speak about rugs from her personal collection.
Nancy Jewett of Fluff and Peachy Bean Designs will speak on Color Theory and Planning.
Katie Wood Kirchhoff, curator from the Shelburne Museum, will speak about curating textiles.
Ania Knap will speak about Hooking Glass ala Louis Tiffany.
Lisanne Miller of W. Cushing & Co. and P is for Primitive, will talk about Backgrounds and Borders.
Amy Oxford, owner of The Oxford Company and designer of the Oxford Punch Needle will talk about punching techniques for a variety of stitch effects using a sampler she developed for use in her school, The Oxford Rug Hooking School.
Mary Jane Peabody, from White Mountain Woolen Magic Guild in NH will do a slide presentation, Cheticamp Rugs and Elizabeth LeFort, Canada’s Most Renowned Rughooker.
Janet Starr, Occupational Therapist will inform us on best practices for hand health in her presentation Joint Protection for Happy Hands.
India Tresseult, will speak on Japanese Tamarie Balls
